History of Fai Hin Salad

The starting place of Fai Hin Salad dressing was in Chiang Mai University, where my husband worked. We rent a small stall at Rom Sak market (Fai Hin market nowadays).  Since our majority customers were college students, we concerned about what kind of goods that good for them and finally chose salad dressing. We had learned to make thick cream dressing (the original cream salad dressing) from cook book and developed our own recipe.  This original cream salad dressing is tasty and Thai people love this favor.   Furthermore, there is no preservation and artificial color.

Its fresh delicious nutritious quality lead to wide recognition in marketplace without any advertisement.  The name ‘Fai Hin’ came from our kids that referred to the starting point, where our customer knew us.  After my husband passed away, we had to leave Chiang Mai University to find other place for living.  Throughout the tough time, we could survive because of our good reputation of quality food.  Our ‘Fai Hin Salad’ has conquered all bad situations such as economic crisis, bird flu, political unrest, and latest economic crisis.  Part of our success is contributed to our royalty customers who always support and suggest us what is the best.    Thus, my kids and I have never stopped creating healthy salad dressings for the past 30 years.  Up to now we have more than 7 dressings such as original cream, carrot, green tea, pepper, clear, sesame oil, thousand Island, Italian,  etc.  All of them are popular among customers.
The secret of eating salad is you have to know which dressing is good for which kind of vegetables, fruits, meat, and food.  For example, sour sweet clear salad dressing goes along with fresh vegetables. Mix thin clear salad dressing thoroughly with fresh leaf lettuces and leave it for a moment.  Then, you can have delicious favor with aroma of fresh ingredients. For thick creamy dressing, it goes along with fruit, nuts, whole grain, and cereal. You toss all ingredients together before having this nutritious dish.

Finally, I had to apply for copyright of Fai Hin Salad trademark lately because there were several imitates of our Fai Hin Salad in the high competition market.  Thus, please make sure that you get good quality of real Fai Hin Salad Dressing before consumption.
